I've been lagging it hardcore lately. I will change that. I will post all my old interviews up in a week or two. I've said it before but I keep getting swamped with school and other stuff.
Also, I have a new time starting this fall. Thursday afternoons 12-2 pm. so definitely check it out.

I was finally able to get the Mike Park Interview up online. So here it is in all it's glory. Remember, the show is now on from 1-3 PM Fridays as well as the midnight edition of Mondo's Musicbox coming Tuesdays 11Pm-1AM.
Also, I will see If I can get that Andrew Jackson Jihad set up tomorrow. Before I go, I have the following interviews coming up on my show: Set Your Goals, The AKA's, Andrew Jackson Jihad, and Lemuria. Keep checking out the blog people and I will catch you later

asian man records tour
Just in case you guys don't feel like reading through all of this to read one sentence. I did an interview with Andrew Jackson Jihad and Lemuria. So expect those soon. I also recorded all of Andrew Jackson Jihad's set. So expect the set to be up here on this blog sometime this week, most likely Friday. The rest of this entry is just a review of shows. So you can read on ahead, or just check back here Friday to see an update on the set being posted.
this weekend i went to see the Asian Man Records tour at Safari Sam's. The show was amazing to say the least. My only complaint was that i got lost for 25 minutes and ended missing most of his set. Andrew Jackson Jihad playing an awesome but short set. They concluded with a collaboration with bomb the music industry. Needless to say this was one of the highlights of the show. Then Bomb the music industry came on and the set was fucking insane. Jeff was crazy, the crowd was into it. I wish they would have played king of Minneapolis but otherwise a grade A set. Lemuria came up next and I instantly became a 16 year old girl. I have the biggest crush on Sheena so seeing them live made me really giddy. Finally the queers came up and they did a good set, at the end they did some Ramones covers with Kepi Ghoulie, which for me was the 2nd biggest highlight of the night.
The biggest highlight was seeing Mike there, he decided to come down last minute. He and I talked for a bit and it was fun catching up. At the end of the night I scored an Asian Man tour poster signed by all the bands( as well as Mike Park) that played that night. That shit is going up on my wall.
Then today, Andrew Jackson Jihad and Lemuria played a potluck show at the glasshouse record store. Sara and I brought black beans and rice. There was a good turn out, at least 100 or so kids. The food selection was good, veggie burgers, not dogs, chips, cherry dump, vegan cupcakes, and fruit. Both bands played great sets. Andrew Jackson Jihad even had a 15 year old kid from Riverside( don't know how to spell his name) play with them during their set. This kid may only be 15 but he has amazing talent. Though the highlight was Lemuria playing length away for me and Sheena asking if i could hit the last note on the song. I told her I couldn't and she laughed.
Before I forget, I also saw h20 and the ISHC Friday night. The ISHC played a great set. they closed with a cover of no reason why by gorilla biscuits. H20 played about an hour and a half covering songs from pretty much the whole discography. Toby even got Shelby into the sold out show, so I give major props to him and the rest of the H20 guys.
Other than that not much going on. I may or may not change my time slot. I do know that I will be increasing my time to 2 hours. So If I stay on the same day, my show will be from 1-3 instead of 2-3. So just giving you all a heads up. Next update in a few days I will have a list of some cool shows you should check out this summer.
so stay tuned and keep it real.
